Asherman’s Syndrome is an extremely common and occasionally complicated disease entity.  It takes many forms and has severity of presentations.

Other terms that have been used to describe the condition include: Uterine Synechiae, Intrauterine Adhesions (IUA), uterine/cervical atresia, traumatic uterine atrophy, sclerotic endometrium, endometrial sclerosis, and intrauterine synechiae.
