Getting Enough Sleep May Boost Fertility
Getting Enough Sleep May Boost Fertility
Sleep is essential for maintaining physical and emotional well-being. Studies have shown that women trying for a baby could drastically improve their chances of conceiving if they sleep for between seven and eight hours a night. Having a routine of going to bed at the same time and waking up at the same time each day may also significantly boost success rates.
Conversely those who regularly lie in or those who don’t get enough sleep – are harming their chances of becoming pregnant. Sleeping for between seven and eight hours a night will drastically improve a woman’s chances of conceiving. The amount of sleep we have alters the levels of certain hormones which affect fertility.
So, tonight, instead of staying up late watching television or playing on the computer, go to bed. You’ll feel less stress the next day, and who knows, maybe it’ll boost your fertility, too.
